This prize is open to two categories:
Self-employed proprietors of bakery/pastry businesses, and employee bakers and pastry cooks.
Apprentice bakers and pastry cooks.
It is each participant’s responsibility to certify that the croissants presented are indeed made by themselves.
The Fédération des Maîtres Boulangers et Boulangers-Pâtissiers des Alpes-Maritimes (the Alpes-Maritimes Federation of Master Bakers and Pastry Cooks) is putting up this prize in order to promote the expertise and quality of bakers’ products in the Alpes-Maritimes, particularly pastries.
This event is held under the honorary presidency of the Chairman of the Confédération Nationale de la Boulangerie et Boulangerie-Pâtisserie Française (National Confederation of French Bakery and Cake and Pastry-Making), Jean-Pierre Crouzet.
The jury will be presided over by Mr. Gérard Pellati, Chairman of the Syndicat des Artisans Boulangers et Boulanger-Pâtissiers of Var (the Var Union of Traditional Bakers and Pastry Cooks), and made up of professionals, consumers and partners from the field of traditional bakery.
